Abyssal Floor 1 Walkthrough

This walkthrough covers every major checkpoint, gate, and challenge on Floor 1. Follow the main ascent path, activate checkpoints for permanent teleportation, and watch for yellow-lit off-path areas that hide Echoes and cosmetics.

Starting the Ascent

Floor 1 begins after passing through the previous floor gate. Activate every checkpoint you find — they enable permanent teleportation and mark progression. Yellow lights indicate optional off-path areas worth exploring.

Key Checkpoints & Landmarks

Checkpoints light up when activated and appear in your teleport menu. Some checkpoints sit on optional paths marked by yellow lighting. Missing them means longer backtracking when hunting Echoes.

Use telescopes on each floor to pan the camera toward the floor goal. Totems act as disconnect-save points — progress near a Totem is preserved if you leave the game.

Gate Seals & Progression Locks

Early floors use Echo count gates at the Witness Store (4 Echoes) and Echo Rooms at 25, 30, and 50. Ensure you collect path-side Echoes before rushing ahead.

Co-op vs Solo Strategy

Playing near other players grants Double Jump through Resonance. Group up for co-op tower sections and difficult parkour. Solo players should invest in mobility Witness abilities and use Rewind generously.

Invite Kiosks throughout the Abyss let you friend-warp teammates to your location. The invite sender receives the Duo Crest Mask as a reward.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does Floor 1 take?
First-time clears vary from 30 minutes to several hours depending on Echo hunting, co-op availability, and Witness build.
What if I fall?
Rewind recovers most falls if you have AE. Miasma zones respawn you at fixed points. Totems save progress near disconnects.
Can I skip floors?
Echo Room gates prevent skipping ahead without sufficient Echoes. The main route is designed for sequential progression.
